Water on the Moon

Posted: March 16, 2014 in Poems

Water puddles glisten on the moon, like a giant sauce pan filled to the brim with milk

All of Earth staring up with bright wide eyes, like a kitten waiting for the dish to be placed on the ground

Closer and Closer, the sauce pan is brought to the ground

Still and Stiller, those on Earth are fixated, unable to look away

The moon won’t stop

The milk spills out over the top

And all those people’s lives come screeching to a halt
